Conor Eckert is the President & CEO of the Orange County Partnership. Conor has been instrumental in positioning Orange County as a top location for advanced manufacturing and innovation, driving major projects, totaling nearly $1 billion in proposed investment, and securing critical funding for shovel-ready technology sites. His experience includes leading site selection efforts, winning projects such as Balchem, Poly Craft, Amazon, and Garonit Pharmaceuticals, which will be the largest antiseptic manufacturing operation in the world..  

 

Eckert played a key leadership role in securing critical FAST New York funding to advance shovel-ready technology sites, strengthening Orange County’s standing as a prime destination for innovation and tech-based growth. Widely respected throughout the business and economic development communities in both Orange County and the Mid-Hudson region, he is recognized for his strategic vision, collaborative approach, and commitment to regional advancement.

 

Prior to joining the Partnership, Eckert served nearly two years as Executive Director of the Town of Montgomery Industrial Development Agency and as the town’s Director of Economic Development. In those roles, he oversaw business attraction, retention, and expansion initiatives and managed a diverse pipeline in housing, industrial and commercial development. He also directed public and community affairs and led day-to-day operations for the IDA.

 

During his tenure in Montgomery, he launched new marketing initiatives, expanded community engagement efforts, and implemented successful economic development strategies that helped establish a development pipeline of more than one million square feet of commercial space.

 

An Orange County native born and raised in the Town of Montgomery, Eckert is a graduate of Orange County Community College. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government from SUNY Binghamton in 2019, followed by a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the same institution in 2020.
